The paper deals with the use of modern simulation techniques with the help of sw VPS (Virtual Performance System) and the scalable biomechanical model of the human body Virthuman in solving a road accident with a serious injury of a boy sitting in a child seat on the back seat of a passenger vehicle. The conclusions of the analysis indicate that the boy, contrary to the previous statement, was not restrained. The procedure used also made it possible to refine the impact speed of the vehicle.
